Uluru (also known as Ayers Rock) is a large sandstone monolith in the Red Centre of Australia. This picture was made a few seconds before sunset, causing the the surrounding landscape to be dark, and the shadow of Uluru extending towards the horizon. The production of this photo took over two weeks, due to the exact required timing, a cyclone and an emergency landing with the helicopter.
