Ulu Mosque in Utrecht. The Ulu Mosque in Lombok is located on Moskeeplein, the first square in the Netherlands to be named after an Islamic place of worship. Besides an Islamic prayer hall, the building also has a quiet room for people of other beliefs, in this it is unique in the world. It also has retail space on the ground floor. The mosque has a spacious prayer hall on the second floor, with two large balconies for women. The minarets are lit from inside after sunset. The mosque officially opened its doors in October 2015.
