About the artwork

Photo of the beautiful Ypey mill, located on the Ryptsjerksterpolder in Fryslan just after sunset. Here, when it freezes, you can often be one of the first places to skate. So this was done a lot now. By the time this photo was taken, the sun had already set and it was getting quieter. The sky is still colouring beautifully after. In the foreground, you can see some snow in grass and the ice. A beautiful winter picture. Although I didn't go skating myself this time, I did enjoy the sociability then. The photo was taken in January 2024.

This mill used to stand somewhere else, but nowadays this mill, now called 'Ypey Mûne' drains the Rijperkerkerpolder and the summer reservoir of the Koekoekspetten. The year of construction of the mill is 1858

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
