Two engines of the Boeing B-29 Superfortress "Doc" The Boeing B-29 Superfortress was equipped with 4 powerful Wright R-3350-23 turbosupercharged radial engines. Each engine could deliver a maximum power of over 2,150hp. The Boeing B-29 Superfortress was a US bomber used in World War II in combat against Japan, from bases in China and in the Mariana Islands (on Guam and two islands of the Northern Mariana Islands, Saipan and Tinian). The B-29 bomber was deployed to drop the first atomic bomb over Hiroshima on 6 August 1945. The name of this bomber was "Enola Gay". Three days later, the second atomic bomb was dropped, this time over Nagasaki by the B-29 bomber named "Bockscar". This picture was taken on 26 October 2019 during an airshow at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas.
