Robert Delaunay is a French painter born April 12, 1885in Paris and further died October 25, 1941in Montpellier . With his wife Sonia Delaunay and others, he is the founder and main architect of the movement orphiste branch of cubism and important movement of avant-garde of the beginning of the xx th century. He was closely associated (in correspondence, in art, even in friendship) with the poets Guillaume Apollinaire and Blaise Cendrars , the Russian painters Vassily Kandinsky and Michel Larionov , German painters August Macke or Franz Marc , Slovak painter Geza Szobel .
