Sometimes you don't have to go far from home to encounter beautiful nature. In our street, an elderly lady lives on the corner. Her garden, which she maintains with great care despite her age, is a photographer's paradise. Every so often, new flowers shoot up through the leaves. I came out of my house in the morning, saw these beautiful tulips bathed in morning light, and went straight back to get my camera. While photographing, the lady in question came out to tend to her garden, which turned into a nice conversation. So I returned home with a beautiful photo and a very good feeling in my pocket.
Passion for photography, where does something like that come from? The beauty is that every photographer will have their own answer. For me it flows out of being able to freeze a moment, step out of the day-to-day rush, and take my time for what I am.. Read more…
