Trocaz pigeon on a branch among exotic flowers (AI) (cheerful, bright, fresh colours)

by Natalie Bruns

In this painting, a Trocaz pigeon sits quietly on a thin branch, surrounded by a lush world of colourful flowers and large tropical leaves. The bird is central to the composition and stands out with its soft blue-grey feathers and the subtle sheen of green and purple around its neck. The dove's calm posture contrasts beautifully with the vibrant flowers blooming all around it.

Large exotic flowers in warm shades of pink, red, yellow and orange grow around the bird. You can see hibiscus-like flowers, brightly coloured blossoms and tropical leaves such as monstera and graceful green branches. Purple and blue clusters of flowers also appear among the greenery, adding depth and movement to the image. Small watercolour splashes and colour gradients create a playful and lively atmosphere, as if the flowers are shining in the sunlight.

The Trocaz pigeon is a special bird that is found almost exclusively on the island of Madeira. It lives mainly in the famous Laurisilva forests, an ancient laurel forest that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This pigeon plays an important role in the island's ecosystem by spreading seeds from various trees and plants.

This painting brings a warm, colourful and almost tropical feel to your home. It can brighten up a room and appeals to people who love nature, travel and botanical art.

The painting is part of a series of two works. One is a horizontal image featuring a small bird called a goldcrest, and the other is a vertical image centred on the Trocaz pigeon. Both paintings can be found in my personal shop in the folder 'aquarel dieren' (watercolour animals).

My trip to Madeira and the beautiful flowers and animals I saw there inspired me to create this painting with the help of AI.
