This covered, cylindrical bridge with perforated aluminium walls was opened to the public at the end of July 2011 and connects the platforms not only with each other but also with the nearby Media Park. To this end, it bridges the Mies Bouwmanboulevard and the Sumatralaan. The traverse leads directly into the Media Park. The official opening was on 15 September 2011. The name of the traverse was also unveiled: Via the viewing tube. On the end at the Media Park side is a test image. The pattern in the perforation of the walls forms a kind of radio waves. Via this traverse, people who have to be at the Media Park, such as people who work at the companies, but also participants in TV programmes recorded there, can walk to the Media Park without having to cross the track and the road, which is very safe.
