I took this photo in San Francisco, California. For work I was allowed to go this way and in advance I had marked a number of locations to photograph including this location, the Transamerica Pyramid Building. Perhaps one of the most iconic buildings in San Francisco.
Now I have had this building in my photos before but as part of the San Francisco skyline. This time I had to try it from a closer angle, which is a challenge in itself to find a good angle. I ended up with this one, the top of the pyramid which is beautifully lit by the sun high in the sky.
But just pressing the button on my camera doesn't finish this photo. That only happens at home in post-processing. At home, I process 99% of my photos because I have access to a large screen, a fast desktop and a Wacom drawing tablet to quietly edit my photos with various software to make them suitable for your wall. For this work, I opted for a monochrome version, creating a nice contrast between the building and the sky.
