This modest balcony reveals a discreet but intense presence: that of the Buddhist monks living in the streets of Vientiane. The orange fabrics, draped and hung, tell the story of a life punctuated by rituals and silence. We can't see the inhabitants, but their daily lives are palpable in every fold, every shadow cast. The rawness of the walls, the simplicity of the décor and the soft light at the end of the day give the scene an almost painterly tone. It's a suspended moment, an open window on a spirituality deeply rooted in urban life in Laos.
