This collage is part of my art journal. Playfully, I got to work with magazines, acrylic paint and markers. Here we see a woman depicted, but with the face torn away in a playful strip from top to bottom. The detailing, perhaps reminiscent of Gustav Klimt's gold details, gives the woman a kind of aura or cape of white, gold and black dots. The gold and yellow blend nicely with the green, blue. These exact colours also recur in the background.
This image is incredibly nice to combine with other images from my art journal album. So be sure to take a look in this album too https://www.werkaandemuur.nl/nl/shopalbum/Collages---Art-Journal-pagina-s/125804/71937 On the background I painted with acrylic paint in the colours brown, green, blue and ochre on a black background. Over this, I used transparent gel to stick on various images from magazines, such as the woman with yellow clothes and a long ponytail. Over that collage, I started drawing with white, gold and black markers in circle patterns and pie shapes reminiscent of the score boxes in Triviant. The whole thing was then photographed and given a digital filter. This filter ensures that up close (if at a large size) the image has nice abstract planes and from afar you can see the image in totality.
