This photo was taken in Tokyo, Japan. I was allowed to go this way for work and I had marked a number of places to photograph beforehand and of course this place could not be missed, the "Tokyo Tower". There are several locations from where you can get a nice shot of this Japanese "Eiffel Tower", including this location with a viewing platform outside.
The challenge tonight was the cold and the wind. It was -6 degrees and windy. Since a tripod was not allowed here and there was some movement on the platform, it was almost impossible to get a sharp photo there. In the end I took this picture from a floor below (inside) where it was nice and warm, but now I had to shoot through the glass. With an anti-reflection kit that I always carry in my backpack, this was no problem for me. The advantage here was that I was allowed to use a tripod, so I could keep the ISO low and catch enough light with a long shutter speed to get a clear picture.
But just pressing the button behind the glass is not enough, it still needs some work at home. I do 99% of my photo editing at home, where I have a big screen, a fast desktop and a Wacom drawing tablet, so I can quietly edit my photos to make them suitable for hanging on the wall.
