About ‘Time chairs: To wait or to be?’ by Glanzodermatt by Roger Odermatt

What is time in this empty room? Hours lost in waiting, while chairs wait silently for guests? Or simply a moment of pause, where nothingness becomes art - pure presence, freed from the hectic pace of having to do something. Here, emptiness teaches us that waiting is not a loss, but space for the essential.

I use street and travel photography to capture everyday life on the move - in alleyways, squares, trains and cafés, wherever people leave their mark. I am particularly interested in lighting moods, graphic structures and quiet observations away from the typical postcard motifs. I want my series for Art Heroes to look like short breaks: Pictures in which you can linger for a moment, sense an atmosphere and perhaps read your own story into them.
