Three ripe pears are arranged in a rustic earthenware bowl against a moody, dimly lit background. The light highlights the pears' mottled skin and earthy tones, creating a serene and natural composition. The variety is John Wesley from the Irish Seedsavers, which I strongly believe to be the French cultivar Clairgeau. It came from the Palatine Gardens in Limerick. They fruited for me for the first time this year, 2024, thirteen years after planting.
