This nocturnal architectural motif was taken by me on 3 January 2009 in the late evening hours with the NIKON D90 camera (lens: 18.0-55.0 mm f/3.5-5.6).
Throughout its history, the Volksbühne has defined and broken artistic boundaries in all disciplines such as acting, directing, stage, costume, video, lighting, visual arts and music, and in all trades. The history and aesthetics of the theatre are characterised by the invention of new theatre practices, the use of cinematic means and a radical redefinition of artistic space. Tradition and its reorganisation, that is all the Volksbühne is.
