The woman with the umbrella was on her way to a long-awaited meeting with an old friend. She was proud and well dressed, with typical Asian clothes that perfectly matched her style. She walked with a firm step through the narrow alley in the old town with its Asian flair, while the rain pelted her umbrella. As she passed the entrances of a restaurant, she noticed that its lamps were shining in bright red, which was reflected in her umbrella wet from the rain, giving the scene a special atmosphere. The buildings to the left and right of the alley appeared dark blue to her because of the bad weather, which gave a nice contrast to the bright red of the umbrella. She smiled because the red was a colour that was supposed to bring her luck. At the end of the alley she was walking through, which was getting narrower, shadowy people were standing and walking in the light blue mist caused by the falling rain. Although they were a bit blurred, you could tell they were hurrying to get out of the rain. And that was where their destination was. She had been excited about it for weeks. She had been looking forward to finally meeting him, whom she hadn't seen for years. It had not been easy to find a suitable date, but in the end they had made it. She quickened her pace and looked forward to her reunion with Paul.
