Somewhere in the middle of the island of bali, armed with camera and a broad smile, I set out in search of a Bali not found by tourists. Tucked away after long roads through mountains and other wooded areas, I arrived at a stretch of rice paddy surrounded by mountains.
The palm trees on the side of these fields provided lovely shade and some extra colour.
The people here work and live in the fields day in and day out to provide the best rice. Balinese rice is therefore truly a delicacy that, unlike standard rice, fetches a much higher price.
This work was made with a wide-angle lens creating a nice effect with the palm tree in the foreground. You can admire this work on the wall, where the viewer can take in every detail.
