The beach of Ameland, near the village of Hollum. I can walk around for hours with my camera. And sometimes it seems so simple when you see the picture. In reality you stand very still, looking in a huge area for striking patterns, structure and lines in the sand or, as here, the tufts of dune grass bending in the wind. You walk very carefully through the sand and look carefully which "route" you are going to take to prevent you from ruining your upcoming photo with your own footsteps. Tis sometimes like walking on a thin layer of ice in the middle of summer.... :-)
