Early in the morning I left for a nature reserve near me. I had read that the previous day Common blues had been seen there, a very cute and small butterfly.
It was a beautiful morning with some fog, sunshine and lots of dew. And after some searching I found the first butterflies. Still completely chilled and covered in dew drops. My first photos were quickly taken. Because once the sun comes through, the drops evaporate and the butterflies warm up to the warm sunlight. And not long after, they spread their wings and, having warmed up sufficiently, flutter away. And for that moment I was waiting.
The golden yellow grass stood out beautifully against the blue sky. The Common blue (male) spread its wings and a beautiful shade of blue appeared. Totally in harmony with its surroundings. My photo of the day was taken!
A few years ago I started to delve into photography a bit more and by now it can be called a passion.I photograph everything that strikes me in a positive way. Landscapes, animals and occasionally architecture or portraits.... But my preference is still nature photos, especially macro.. Read more…
