The sky is the limit
Walking in a city, I also often look up.
The skyscrapers the high-rise buildings and flats. The new architecture and the old buildings built together. The city of Rotterdam with its huge skyline and different architectural styles. The window cleaner is busy the plane passes high in the sky. The blue sky frames the huge buildings.
With my work as a street photographer, I show the rough, unpolished sides of city life. With my photographs, I try to capture the beauty of everyday moments. The viewer can then invent his or her own story to go with it. I also have a fondness for industrial environments, such as harbour sites and factory buildings, where traces of the industrial past are still present. In doing so, I try to photograph subtle details, using both digital and analogue cameras.
