The Waag in Alkmaar is a building on Waagplein that has been in use as a chapel and scales. Today, the Hollands Kaasmuseum and the VVV tourist office are located in the building. The building has a tower with famous horsemen and a beautiful carillon. The building was designated a national monument in 1969. The Waagplein is home to the Cheese Market in summer.
