About the artwork
The rowers on the Maasvlakte with a momentum. The rowing boat container ships the cranes the looming clouds the LNG gas tanks and the spectacular propeller water. The rowers always on the move from ship to ship. The ship docking or the ship departing the rowers cast off the ropes or round the bollards. In stormy winds and rain and sunshine the rowers are ready. The big seagoing ships ready to be moored the rowers bring the mooring lines to shore.
Raw and the port as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbour is another world.
