This impressive work offers a powerful perspective on everyday life in a Japanese city, with the iconic Mount Fuji in the background. The title, referring to "Honcho 2" on the road sign, gives the work a specific, urban identity.
The composition is dominated by a long, straight street that disappears into the distance. In the foreground, the tangle of high-voltage cables and telephone lines create a complex, graphic pattern that symbolises the hustle and bustle of modern Japan. The old-fashioned shopfronts on either side, with their striped designs and light boxes, give the scene a nostalgic feel.
Above it all towers the snow-covered peak of Mount Fuji, partly shrouded in dramatic twilight clouds, creating a breathtaking contrast between the human constructions and the natural majesty. This work is perfect for the lover of modern travel photography and urban contrasts.
Welcome to my shop, as you may have already seen, there are many works from Italy. I like to photograph there.
