This photo was taken in Pacific trail National Park on Vancouver Island Canada. A magical place where you can hear, see and taste the silent ocean everywhere. These rainforests (because it rains an incredible amount on this piece of earth) are almost impassable, except here where this beautiful wooden path which is built a few metres above the ground has been built to admire this piece of nature.
This is nature at its finest, you feel so small among these giants of trees and there seems to be no end in sight.
Pacific Rim National Park Reserve on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, offers a unique experience with its temperate rainforests and wooden hiking trails. The rainforest is home to ancient trees such as Sitka spruce, western hemlock and giant cedars, along with a rich undergrowth of ferns, mosses and fungi. The wooden trails allow visitors to experience the rainforest up close without disturbing the fragile ecosystems. Hiking trails such as the Rainforest Trail lead through dense forests and along streams, and along the paths are educational signs offering information about the flora and fauna. The park, which also offers opportunities for spotting wildlife such as black bears, deer and various bird species, consists of three parts: Long Beach, the Broken Group Islands and the West Coast Trail. Originally established to protect the region's unique natural and cultural values, the park offers an enchanting way to explore one of the most extraordinary natural environments in Canada.
