The natural structure of a little fluffball by Marjolijn van den Berg

This wall decoration: "De natuurlijke structuur van een kleine pluizenbol" is a macro photograph of a stunning seed head from a burdock (Tragopogon). This seed head, with its beautiful fluffy texture, is the subject of the photograph. But there’s more to it than that. To take this photograph, I experimented extensively with creating different types of smoke. In this photograph, the smoke creates a soft and dreamy atmosphere. If you zoom in on the photograph, you can clearly see the effect this has and how beautifully the fluffy structure is visible in the area where the focus lies. I opted for a relatively shallow depth of field to achieve a lovely dreamy atmosphere whilst simultaneously creating a sense of depth in the work. This results in a tranquil, rustic and natural-feeling photograph that exudes calm whilst offering plenty to look at.
Thanks to the simple, natural colours and tranquillity of this photograph, it would, for example, look excellent in a rustic, minimalist or Scandinavian interior. This piece would, for instance, look stunning as wall art in the bedroom on an ArtFrame above the bed, as wallpaper in the hall to create a beautiful entrance, or simply above the sofa in the living room on, say, aluminium! It would also look lovely on the wall in a meeting room (business setting).
