Occasionally, I walk in a nearby cemetery. This cemetery is surrounded by a beautiful park with all kinds of flowers and animals. Especially in winter, when it has frozen or snowed, I find it very beautiful and soothing there.
One winter morning, I was walking there. The trees, flowers and water were covered with a little ice and hoarfrost. The ice crystals were easy to see.
Then I discovered this still life: A fallen leaf on the planks of a small bridge. A nice contrast in colour and shape and also provided with fine ice crystals. I found it very symbolic in this spot. It symbolised life and death, the last leaf, a goodbye....
A few years ago I started to delve into photography a bit more and by now it can be called a passion.I photograph everything that strikes me in a positive way. Landscapes, animals and occasionally architecture or portraits.... But my preference is still nature photos, especially macro.. Read more…
