Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘The last cafe open on a rainy autumn night, part 4’ by Maarten Knops

An atmospheric painting of an almost deserted café at the end of the night.

The contrast between the warm neon lights and the bleakness of the outside world makes for an intriguing color composition that you can look at for hours. You feel the warmth but also the loneliness of nightlife. The warm glow from behind the glass slowly draws you in....

For the atmosphere I was inspired by the beautiful, world famous, painting by Edward Hopper called Nighthawks.

A beautiful painting to hang in a prominent place in your living room....or in your study, so that every now and then you can dream away to another world.

So grab a glass of good red wine, a strong French cheese and sit back and relax while you hear the French chansons in the background...
