The once iconic Café Kranzler in Berlin. From Unter den Linden in 1834 to this version in the Charlottenburg district on the Kurfürstendamm of what was then West Berlin. It was the meeting point and attracted crowds of tourists, partly because of the panoramic view. I was there once before the fall of the wall for coffee and, of course, pastries. Now a collection of shops, pop-up stores.
The Hotel Motel One matches Berlin's new architecture and its shape also makes it an attraction for the German capital.
