In this weapon, the pellet (the front sight) is adjustable longitudinally.
You can now see the top view.
The longer the distance between the keep (rear aiming device) and the pellet, the cleaner one can shoot.
To then find out at what distance gives the best result for the shooter, the adjustability is a good tool.
This PCP .177 - 4.5mm air pistol is used in Olympic disciplines, among others.
At that level, one definitely wants to achieve the best result and adjust the weapon to the shooter as much as possible.
"It's just a game" does have limits....
With 7.5 joules of power, this air pistol is enough to make holes at 10 metres in a piece of paper.
With special match pellets, fitted with a flat front you make nice round holes so the counting is very clear.
Actually, this is a long-distance perforator.
To play this sport well, extreme concentration, combined with the right stable posture, breathing techniques etc. is a must to achieve a great result.
It is indeed the smallest details that are decisive.
And 4.5mm or .177th of an inch is a small detail....
