We had been watching a group of lions lazing around for several hours at a pond in the Etosha National Park in Namibia. Suddenly, out of nowhere, this group of elephants emerged from the bush. Their impressive procession, with the dominant male (the bull) at the back, was an impressive sight. The lions suddenly jolted awake and had to flinch when the dominant elephant male protected his group, which was quietly drinking at the water's edge. The sense of belonging of a group of elephants is impressive, with young and old, big and small each having their place within the parade.
