The drawbridge of Weert, the Stadterbrug we say here in Limburg Netherlands.
A bridge where you don't have to wait often now, but earlier times the bridge often went up and you had to wait quite a while until the boat or boats had passed. The engines of the cars all go out and a silence falls in the streets.
Now it is quiet without the bridge up and there is nobody or almost nobody near the bridge at the moment I was there to take pictures.
A stranger is sensing this silence because of the virus, now it is May 26th 2020 and from June 1st there will be more movements around the bridge again.
The terraces are allowed to open again and near the bridge there are some that will put the chairs and tables outside again now adapted to the new rules.
The streetscape will slowly change again, we are so happy.
