Last week I went to North Holland to photograph the Orionids, this is a meteor swarm that is active every year between October 16 and 26. The radiant, the point where they appear to come from, lies in the constellation Orion. The Orionids are caused by dust particles from comet Halley. Unfortunately I could not photograph many of these meteors, this due to the clouds that came up faster than expected. But I was able to make a nice picture of the rise of the constellation Orion in conjunction with the planet Mars through the veil of clouds.
