About the artwork
"The beach and the sea: Simplicity and peace in nature" is a photo I took on the beautiful beach in Cadzand in Zeeland (in the Netherlands).
The beach looked very clean with fine sand and as I stood by the sea and the waves kept washing up, I noticed that the furthest point to where the sea came there was a beautiful bubbles (sloping texture). This white colour, I think, goes very nicely with the sand colour.
When you zoom in on this photo, you can clearly see how beautifully detailed this photo is. If you look at the foam you can see the beautiful round bubbles and on the beach you can see the grains of sand.
It took me a while to get my camera pointed just right so that the whole image was in focus, as this photo looks very simple, but getting everything just right was less easy than it looks.
A simple minimalist photo, it exudes simplicity and tranquillity. The colours are simple, sand colour with white and this gives it a natural look.
