This monotype or monoprint is made with a gelliplate and acrylic paint. A unique handmade and one-off piece, only 1 print can be made of your design. The graphic printing technique and the paper used create all kinds of textures and effects. This makes it interesting to look at. Here, many layers have been printed on top of each other, with homemade stencils and sewing thread in between. As a result, there seems to be a certain depth to the work. Each layer leaves a different part of the paper unprinted and ultimately gives an unpredictable result by creating residual shapes. In this work, you see a pair of hands, with threads and stars in the background. Connecting, untangling, seeking coherence, it's all in there. The magical stars are flying around. Enchantment is being worked. The alchemist is looking for gold. The background is warm golden yellow, and the hands more cool blue.
