About ‘The Tuscany of the Netherlands’ by Peter Kuipers

South Limburg is characterised by this beautiful landscape. The landscape is also known as the Hill Country of Limburg. The beautiful rolling fields are beautifully highlighted here. In the distance, we see the Miljoenenlijn (steam train between Simpelveld and Schin op Geul) with the Eys-Wittem station here.
Behind it, we can see the tall trees that remind us of Italian Tuscany.
The photo was taken from the hills near Eys, from here you have a great view of the wide plains and the railway line.
