About ‘The "Thick Tower" of Esslingen Castle’ by Renate Kreft

The Fat Tower is one of the attractions of Esslingen Castle, the landmark of the town of Esslingen am Neckar. With its viewing platform, it was formerly used for defence. Its panoramic view extends far into the countryside. The beautiful roof, the tower helmet, was added later and gives it an extraordinary, fairytale appearance.
It is integrated into the Esslingen city wall, which is 6 metres thick in places and also served as a defence. The inner castle square is picturesquely designed and is used as a venue for events. It brings back memories of my youth, as it is also a romantic place for a rendezvous. The picture was created as an open-air painting amidst this dreamlike backdrop.
At the time, I was taking painting lessons at the Esslingen School Academy. Our lecturer, Ms Mina Gampel, had the great idea of holding the painting lessons at the castle. This led to some very beautiful pictures, like this one. I hope you enjoy looking at it and that it inspires your dreams. Renate Kreft

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
