This little oak tree looked like it was putting the other oak trees under its spell. The oak trees in this tiny woodland area are all small and gnarly. Their trunks mostly covered in moss and their branches twisted and curled. Some look like corkscrews others look like wide spirals. Not one tree is the same, all unique and I have spent many hours photographing on the square meter. I am not one to rush from hotspot to hotspot, I tend to take a lot of time in just a small area and to observe really well. I don't like to hurry or be hurried and so, it is not unusual if I stay in one place for 4 hours. This way I usually find something new to photograph every time, new relationships between these trees that I did not se on previous occasions and in all seasons there is something new to be discovered.
