In this painting, I sought to explore the intricate dance between light and shadow that characterizes the life of the African woman depicted. She stands with a quiet dignity, gazing at her vibrant village—a place teeming with colors, nature, and simplicity. Yet, behind her, the shadow of a man looms, rather than her own. This shadow is a symbol of the male influences in her life, reflecting both support and challenge, a nod to past connections or the dominant presence in her community.
The bridge silhouette further enriches this narrative, representing her transitional journey. It is a metaphor for bridging the gap between the joys and sorrows she faces daily, portraying her strength in navigating these dualities. What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
