About ‘Sagrada Família Illuminated at Night’ by MADK

During an evening stroll through Barcelona, the Sagrada Família suddenly appeared amongst the dark trees. Whilst the basilica is already impressive by day, it took on a completely different atmosphere in the dark. The warm lighting highlights the towers and countless details, whilst the deep black background creates an almost mysterious contrast.

Precisely because parts of the building disappear into the shadows, your gaze is automatically drawn to the illuminated architecture. The result is a powerful and atmospheric image in which Gaudí’s unique forms are brought into even sharper relief.

The combination of black, gold, cream and warm stone tones gives this photograph a luxurious and dramatic feel. A unique piece of art for a modern, industrial or dark interior, and for anyone who wants to experience Barcelona and Gaudí’s architecture in a different way.
