The Posbank.
Very well known and loved for its blooming moors in August. A beautiful unusual hilly piece of nature in the otherwise flat Netherlands.
When the heather is blooming it is full of photographers and other tourist visitors. And of course I once stood there like that. I hated it. What a crowd.
How different it was this morning, the early Saturday morning of November 5, 2022. Fog with rising sun, around 7:30 or so. Nobody(!!!) around. Complete silence and breathtaking views over the rolling hillsides. The heather was still there, of course. I was not bothered by the occasional jogger and walker with a sheepdog.
What a beautiful start to the day.
Imagine a layer of snow here too.... to remember, because then I will probably be here again.
I already knew it, but autumn really is and remains my favorite season. That was confirmed once again today.
