About "The Oudegracht with the Orphan Bridge in Utrecht"

About the artwork

The Oudegracht is the best-known canal in the Dutch city of Utrecht. The approximately two-kilometre-long canal can be regarded as the connecting piece between the Kromme Rijn and the Vecht, and cuts through the entire city centre from south to north. For centuries, it has been the city's main artery. The wharves and wharf cellars of Utrecht's Oude- and Nieuwegracht are unique in the world. The western abutment of the bridge connects to a monumental building that today houses pop venue Tivoli. In former times, it served as an orphanage. The photo was taken in the evening of 6 March 2013, Dark Utrecht. That's the name of my series of photos of Utrecht places after sunset. Most Donker Utrecht photos were shot at dusk. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
