One of the most famous fjords in Norway is the Geirangerfjord. This beautiful fjord, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, has impressive, steep mountain walls that rise from the water. Many waterfalls fall along those mountain walls, one of which is the Gjerdefossen which you see at the top left of the photo.
You can reach Geiranger by descending via the very steep mountain road with eleven hairpin bends that you see in the photo, this is the Ørnevegen. This road was opened in 1955 and made Geiranger accessible all year round. The road was nicknamed Eagle Road, because it partly passed through an area that used to be home to many eagles. I don't know if they still exist there. However, there are houses along the road, so it is possible that humans have taken over the domain of the birds.
At the top of the spectacular hairpin road, you can stop by car at Ørnesvingen, a lookout point 500 meters above sea level, created in 2006, which offers a fantastic view of the Geirangerfjord, the waterfalls and the cruise ships that regularly visit the fjord. The ships are sometimes colossal, but from a great height they look like small boats.
The photo was taken from another viewpoint, at Dalsnibba, which is located at an altitude of 1500 meters and is 10 kilometers away from the Ørnevegen in a beeline.
