About the artwork

At the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, an imposing monument commemorates the enormous courage and sacrifice of the US soldiers who gave their lives during the invasion of Normandy on D-Day. This monument, erected in memory of the 9,387 soldiers killed, stands proudly in the centre of the cemetery and is a symbol of the price of freedom. The monument is decorated with statues of US soldiers and inscriptions highlighting the sacrifice of these men.

The photograph captures the strength and serenity of the monument, which rises in the distance above the sprawling cemetery. It reminds us of the horrific reality of World War II and the brave men who fought to free Europe from Nazi occupation. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
