The Last Children - When Hope Finally Settles Down is an Olafique manifesto about the world we leave behind for our children. A boy in an astronaut suit - his childhood dream as survival gear - sits with his dog in a deserted city. When a colourful bird perches on his glove, a glimmer of hope emerges in an otherwise grey future.
This artwork is about climate change, pollution, polarisation and the focus on profit over wellbeing. A warning about the choices we make today - and a call to find our humanity again.
