The Kutchen Haltestelle is located near the former SS training site Vogelsang Ordensburg, in the middle of the Eifel National Park. This location has a rich and complex history, where nature meets the region's dark heritage. Vogelsang Ordensburg was established in the 1930s by the Nazis as a training centre for the SS, with the aim of indoctrinating young men into Nazism. Today, it is a place of remembrance that reflects on the harsh history the region has experienced.
At the same time, the area around the Kutchen Haltestelle is now an idyllic, natural setting. The Eifel National Park is known for its green forests, rolling hills and tranquil lakes. The silence of the landscape provides a place for contemplation, but also evokes reflection on human history and the role of memory.
Here, nature and history come together in a special way. It is a place that invites both peace and contemplation, and connects the past with the present in an impressive, respectful way.
