About ‘The Háifoss Gorge’ by Roy Mosterd

Deep in the rugged highlands of Iceland, the impressive Háifoss waterfall plunges more than a hundred metres down into a wide canyon. The water crashes over the edge of the basalt cliffs and disappears into the dark river that winds its way through the landscape. From the edge of the gorge, a panoramic view unfolds over the dramatic forms of the Icelandic landscape. The steep rock faces, green moss fields and deep canyon give the area an almost otherworldly appearance. It is no coincidence that this location was used as a filming location for the series Stranger Things. During a journey through the Icelandic highlands, the weather changed constantly: mist drifted through the canyon whilst the water plunged down with a thunderous roar. It is precisely this ruggedness and emptiness that make this place so impressive. The photograph brings a sense of power and nature into an interior. Due to the vast scale of the landscape and the dramatic gorge, this image works particularly well as a large wall print for lovers of mountains, waterfalls and rugged nature.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
