About ‘The Green Idea’ by Color Square

A stylised female profile, surrounded by flowers, leaves and contrasting areas of green, black and white. The face is greatly simplified: a closed eye with delicate eyelashes, a straight nose and a serene mouth suggest a mood rather than a realistic portrait. The long neck and the black-and-white striped garment give the image an elegant, graphic foundation. The composition stands out for its rough, painterly texture. Scratches of paint, dark smudges and weathered areas make the work vibrant and layered. The white flower in the top left appears almost like a hair accessory placed against the face, whilst the green leaves move across the black hair like a natural crown. A subtle detail is the narrow white vertical strip on the left, which opens up the image and at the same time is reminiscent of a window, a tree trunk or a fragment of a collage.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
