About the artwork

In this absurd and hilarious scene, we see four birds that look like they have just escaped from a Victorian costume drama, but with a dash of whimsy. They stand neatly in a row, as if waiting neatly for the bird train to take them to their next adventure. The first bird, with its sleek black-and-white suit and bright red hat, seems ready to complain about the punctuality of the timetable at any moment. The second bird, a little absent-minded, has an old hat on its head - perhaps trying to take in the latest bird news or just seek some shelter from an imaginary rainstorm.

The third bird, clearly the adventurer of the group, has a backpack on his back and looks around as if wondering if he hasn't forgotten anything. Maybe his lunch or his nest, who knows? And then there is the last bird, with its bright orange feathers and top hat, looking more like a retired bird director who has just signed his retirement papers. He carries a small suitcase no doubt filled with breadcrumbs for the road - you never know when hunger will strike.

The whole thing has the feel of a comic, unintentionally serious bird film, where these feathered gentlemen are on their way to an important but utterly bizarre mission in a world where it is perfectly normal to take to the skies in style.
