About ‘The Diver’ by Doornroosje Design

When you, as a cat owner, close the door behind you and go on a trip, you think everything is well organised and your cat will be well looked after whilst you’re away. But what if your cat decides to do her own thing and sets off on a journey of her own? ‘The Diver’ depicts a cat in diving gear during her secret holiday adventures.

The Diver is part of a series of watercolours that tell the story of the adventures a little cat experiences whilst her owners are away. They originated from small daily illustrations of a cat who was temporarily in my care. Every day she posed patiently and slowly took me along on her journey. The original work is created in pen and watercolour.

Doornroosje Design is the work of Margreet Bekker from Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
Having grown up in an idyllic house named Doornroosje ( the Sleeping Beauty, in Dutch) it is not surprising that she likes to look for the magic in everyday things, creating her own fairy tales.
She takes inspiration from the things she sees around her, from the fruit basket on the table to a mosaic floor while travelling. And, of course, from her three cats who keep her company while…

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
