The centuries-old center of Leiden breathes history. This work shows two historic buildings. On the left and in the foreground is the castle, built on a hill. In the background the Hooglandse Kerk. The construction of the church dates back to 1314 and started as a wooden church and lasted until approximately 1500. Later they started to build with stones. The intention was to build the largest church. Due to lack of money, only the choir and the cross arms were completed. This photo was taken in March 2022 on a very sunny day. The trees have buds visible but the leaves not yet. This work can be ordered in both color and black and white.
